All the academic community members are entitled to become a member of the Central Library, MANIT Bhopal. Presently they need to fill the membership form from the following link. Please read the instructions carefully before filling the form: Central Library Membership Form.

Please keep ready one passport size colour photograph and your pay slip/ joining order/ institute ID card (in case of faculty staff), or latest fee receipt (in case of students).

Members should keep the library informed of any change of address or any other details during their tenure of membership. You may request for a change of your profile details either from the e-Catalogue (by logging in to your account), or may send an email to library-cs@staff.manit.ac.in

All the members are requested to check their email IDs regularly, you will get all the circulation related emails directly to your inbox. If you are not getting emails contact us at the circulation desk to update your email ID or send us an email to library-cs@staff.manit.ac.in. You may also update your email or any other profile details by logging in to your account at library e-Catalogue portal.

If your account got expired, you may request for an extension by sending a request at library-cs@staff.manit.ac.in by attaching the extension letter from the competant authority.

In case of loss of library membership card, please report to the library immediately either at the circulation desk or send an email to library-cs@staff.manit.ac.in. A fine of INR 100.00/- shall be levied for issuance of new card.
- Library membership card is non-transferable.

Carrying your library card is mandatory while visiting the library and must show on demand.

All the members must deposit their library cards before the security counter near the circulation desk before entering the main reading area of the library.

While issuing a book or any other material from the library, the member should carefully examine/ check and satisfy themselves whether the material issued to him/her is in good condition. Else, they need to report in the circulation desk before issuing, otherwise, the member will be held responsible for any compensation such as replacement of the book or payment of the book as per the record.

Borrowed books should be protected from RAIN, DUST, INSECT, etc. at your own responsibility and must be returned in the same condition as it was issued.

All the members are requested to check their email ID after completing any kind of transactions for reference purposes. Members may pay attention that the library is sending the following emails regarding the same: Welcome email, issue, return, renew, advance due, due, overdue (thrice), and advance account expiration.

All the issued books must be returned on or before the due date so as to avoid overdue charges and make them available for use by other members as well.

All the members except faculties can renew the issued books for one more cycle of 90 days.

The Librarian has the right to recall any issued book at any point of time if required for any purposes.

Members must submit the issued books from the library before proceeding on long leave except books issued for break/ vacation.

All the resources available in the library have been purchased not only to extend services to the present members but also for the future members of the library. Hence, the member, while utilizing these resources, should not tamper the document, write upon, damage, torn down the pages or mark on any library materials.

Members should not deface, mark, cut, mutilate or damage library resources in any way. If anyone is found doing so, he will be charged the full replacement cost of the material(s).

Members are advised not to issue books to others on their names or vice-versa.

All the members need to return/renew the issued materials within due date. They may refer to the issue email for date of due or may also may get to know from the due emails.

Failing to the same a penalty of INR 1.00/- will be charged per day per book from them.

Fine rules are applicable to all the user categories of Central Library.

All the member needs to clear the outstanding amount (if any) before proceeding for any further library transactions (issue/return/renew).

The member needs to inform in advance in case they are out of station and receiving the due emails. They may send an email to library-cs@staff.manit.ac.in requesting a temporary extension of the due date. The extension will be subject to approval from the Librarian.

Select the Library Books Charges/fine option from the drop down menu.

Fill the necessary details and proceed to pay.

Report to the Library Circulation Desk on the same day for further processing.

Before leaving the Institute/ getting the certificate/ retiring, it is mandatory for all members to submit all the library property issued or lying with members to the Central Library and must obtain a "Clearance Certificate” or “No Dues Certificate” to proceed further.

The no dues forms can be obtained in the academic building (for students) and in the establishment section (for faculties and staff).

The member needs to make sure that the materials they are returing is/are in the same condition as they were issued.

The member needs to return the library ID (is they have taken) card as well before taking no dues.

In case of loss/damage of the library card or any material(s) issued to them, a fine of INR 100.00/- needs to pay off (for library card), and the latest edition of the book should be replace or the same amount will be collected from them.
